Dr Viraj Patel is an award-winning implant dentist, educator and international speaker with a particular passion for regenerative implant dentistry. After qualifying as a dentist in 2012, he undertook hospital training in oral and maxillofacial surgery before pursuing extensive postgraduate education in dental implantology in the UK and overseas.
In 2018, Viraj moved to New York to complete the prestigious two-year Advanced Implant Dentistry Programme at New York University. Since returning to the UK in 2020, he has worked across private practices in London, focusing on complex implant treatment and the regeneration of hard and soft tissues.
His clinical work and commitment to innovation have earned him numerous national and international accolades, including the ITI Future Star Award, multiple Best Young Implant Dentist awards and recognition for clinical innovation and complex implant case management. He is also a key opinion leader for leading implant and biomaterials companies, sharing contemporary techniques, technologies and clinical insights.
Alongside clinical practice, Viraj lectures internationally and supports the next generation of implant clinicians through his involvement with the ADI NextGen Committee and the Junior Committee of the European Association for Osseointegration. His teaching combines biological principles, sound surgical fundamentals and practical decision-making to help clinicians approach advanced implant treatment with greater confidence and predictability.
