One Complete Journey
Move from foundational knowledge through practical training and into supported clinical case development.

A complete pathway into implant dentistry — from foundational learning to hands-on training, mentored clinical cases and progression towards a Diploma in Dental Implantology.
The Elevate Diploma in Dental Implantology, delivered in partnership with SmileFast, has been designed for general dental practitioners who want to develop the knowledge, practical skills and clinical confidence required to introduce or expand implant dentistry within their practice.
Built around Elevate's FIRE – Foundations of Implant Restorative Excellence philosophy, the programme takes a restorative-led approach to implant dentistry.
Rather than simply learning how to place an implant, delegates develop an understanding of the complete treatment journey — from initial patient assessment and case selection through to surgical planning, implant placement, restoration and long-term maintenance.
By combining Elevate's restorative-led education with SmileFast's practical surgical training, hands-on teaching and clinical mentoring, delegates can progress through a clear three-stage pathway at a pace that reflects their own clinical development.

The Elevate x SmileFast programme has been structured to support clinicians as their knowledge, practical experience and confidence develop.

Your implant journey begins with approximately 27 hours of online education delivered across 12 structured modules.
The online FIRE – Foundations of Implant Restorative Excellence programme provides the theoretical foundation required to understand implant dentistry from a restorative, biological, surgical and professional perspective.
Rather than viewing implant placement as an isolated procedure, the programme teaches you to begin with the desired final restoration and work backwards.
You will understand how patient assessment, restorative requirements, biology and long-term maintenance should influence where, when and how an implant is placed.

Understand implant terminology, design, componentry and the biological principles involved in implant healing.
Explore patient suitability, case selection, treatment timing and restorative-led implant planning.
Develop a structured approach to radiographs, clinical photography, records and implant documentation.
Understand consent, professional responsibilities and the medico-legal considerations involved in implant dentistry.
Learn core surgical principles including flap design, suturing and the recognition and management of complications.
Explore the principles, timing and clinical decision-making associated with implant placement and second-stage surgery.
Gain an introduction to guided bone regeneration, soft tissue augmentation and the planning of more complex cases.
Understand restorative workflows for single and multiple implants, including impressions, healing abutments, tissue development, abutment selection and final restorations.
Explore the principles of occlusion for implant-supported restorations and their influence on long-term outcomes.
Understand digital and analogue workflows, intraoral scanning and the relationship between digital and traditional implant techniques.
Gain an introduction to full-arch implant dentistry, advanced grafting and complex treatment-planning concepts.
Understand long-term implant maintenance, peri-implant health and disease and appropriate review protocols.
Complete the programme flexibly around your existing clinical and professional commitments before progressing into practical training.

Once you have developed the theoretical foundations, the next stage is applying them.
The Hands-On Programme includes six face-to-face practical training days delivered through the Elevate x SmileFast partnership.
This stage brings together restorative treatment planning and practical surgical implant training, allowing delegates to develop a greater understanding of how each stage of implant treatment connects.
Training is designed to develop practical skills while continually reinforcing the restorative-led philosophy introduced through FIRE.
Delegates will explore areas including:
The objective is not simply to teach a surgical sequence.
It is to help you understand why each clinical decision is being made and how that decision influences the final restoration.

Education becomes significantly more valuable when you can apply it to real clinical situations.
The Case Mentoring stage is designed to support delegates as they progress from structured education into managing their own implant cases.
You will begin applying the restorative, surgical and biological principles developed throughout the programme while receiving structured support during your clinical development.
Case mentoring focuses on areas including:
Rather than being left to make the transition into implant dentistry alone, mentoring provides a framework through which your clinical decision-making can continue to develop.

Work Towards A Diploma In Dental Implantology

Successful implant treatment does not begin with the implant.
It begins with understanding what you ultimately want to achieve for the patient.
Elevate's FIRE – Foundations of Implant Restorative Excellence philosophy teaches delegates to consider the desired functional, biological and aesthetic outcome before deciding where and how an implant should be placed.
This means understanding the relationship between:
By understanding the complete pathway, delegates can make more informed clinical decisions and communicate more effectively with patients, laboratories, surgeons and the wider dental team.

Elevate and SmileFast share a commitment to providing practical, clinically relevant dental education.
Each organisation brings something different to the pathway.
Elevate
Elevate provides FIRE – Foundations of Implant Restorative Excellence.
Our restorative-led approach begins with the desired final outcome and uses this to guide treatment planning, implant positioning and treatment delivery.
The emphasis is on developing clinical judgement and helping delegates understand the relationship between every stage of implant treatment.
SmileFast
SmileFast brings its experience in structured implant training, practical surgical education, hands-on teaching, mentoring and supported clinical development.
Better Together
By combining the two approaches, the programme connects the surgical and restorative stages of implant treatment.
Delegates learn not only how implants are placed, but how to plan and deliver implant treatment that is functional, aesthetic, maintainable and appropriate for the individual patient.

The Elevate x SmileFast implant pathway has been developed for general dental practitioners at different stages of their implant journey.
It is particularly suited to clinicians who want to:
Existing clinical experience and suitability for each stage of the programme can be discussed during the application process.

Throughout the complete pathway, delegates will work towards developing the ability to:
Move from foundational knowledge through practical training and into supported clinical case development.
Learn to begin with the final outcome and use this to guide every stage of implant treatment.
Start with the £995 online programme before deciding when you are ready to progress.
Develop practical implant skills through six face-to-face training days.
Receive structured support as you begin applying your learning to clinical cases.
The Hands-On Programme allows delegates to work towards a Certificate in Dental Implantology, subject to the relevant requirements.
The Case Mentoring pathway allows delegates to work towards a Diploma in Dental Implantology, subject to completion of the associated requirements.
Learn from clinicians with experience across implant surgery, restorative dentistry, prosthodontics, digital dentistry and long-term implant care.
Apply knowledge to practical implant cases, strengthening diagnosis, treatment planning and clinical decision-making throughout the programme.
You do not need to become an implant dentist overnight.
You need the right foundations, the right practical training and the right support as your experience develops.
The Elevate x SmileFast Implant Dentistry Pathway gives you a structured route from your first module through to supported clinical cases and progression towards a postgraduate Diploma.
